In fields such as commercial buildings, industrial plants, and cold chain logistics, duct systems serve as the core carriers for ventilation and temperature regulation, and their operational safety and stability directly affect overall operational efficiency. However, traditional duct materials often face two core pain points: first, fire risk—ordinary duct materials are flammable and release toxic gases when burned, making it difficult to pass fire acceptance inspections; second, insufficient environmental adaptability—they are prone to delamination and aging under high temperature, low temperature, humidity, and other working conditions, leading to thermal insulation failure and rising maintenance costs. Flame-retardant black adhesive aluminum foil, with its composite properties of "flame-retardant protection + black adhesive bonding + aluminum foil thermal insulation," has become a key material to address these pain points, providing dual guarantees of safety and efficiency for duct systems.

From the perspective of product structure and core characteristics, the advantages of flame-retardant black adhesive aluminum foil (common structure such as PET+HDPE+VMPET aluminum-plated film, with flame retardants added to the black adhesive layer) precisely match the needs of duct systems. Firstly, compliant flame-retardant performance: All products pass the GB 8624-2012 Grade B1 flame-retardant test, and some high-end models can reach Grade A2. They have low smoke density and no toxic gas release when burned (smoke toxicity meets GB/T 20284 standards), fully meeting the fire acceptance requirements of commercial buildings and industrial plants, especially suitable for crowded shopping malls, office buildings, and chemical workshops with strict fire prevention standards. Secondly, stable and reliable black adhesive layer: Acrylic-modified flame-retardant black adhesive is used, with an adhesive strength of ≥1.8N/25mm, which does not crack or flow at temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 80℃—the low-temperature resistance adapts to the freezing environment of cold chain logistics ducts, and the high-temperature resistance endures the working conditions of exhaust systems in industrial plants, avoiding thermal insulation failure caused by delamination of traditional adhesives under extreme temperatures. Thirdly, high-efficiency thermal insulation of aluminum foil layer: Relying on the synergy between the VMPET vacuum aluminum-plated layer (reflectivity ≥85%) and the PET base material, the thermal conductivity is ≤0.045 W/(m·K), which can reduce the cold and heat loss rate of the duct system by 15%~20%. This not only reduces heat waste from industrial exhaust but also lowers cold loss from cold chain ducts, indirectly saving energy costs for users.

In practical application scenarios, the adaptability of flame-retardant black adhesive aluminum foil is further highlighted, which can specifically address the differentiated needs of duct systems in different fields. For industrial plant ventilation systems (such as mechanical processing and electronic manufacturing workshops), the core demands are fire prevention and temperature resistance—machine tools in the plant generate high temperatures, and flammable dust exists in some areas. The Grade B1 flame-retardant performance of flame-retardant black adhesive aluminum foil can prevent fire spread, and the 80℃ high-temperature resistance adapts to the hot air transmission of exhaust ducts. At the same time, the sealing of the black adhesive layer can prevent dust from penetrating into the duct interior, reducing equipment wear and maintenance frequency. In cold chain logistics duct systems (such as fresh food cold storage and frozen warehouses), material stability in low-temperature environments is crucial—flame-retardant black adhesive aluminum foil maintains good adhesion at -20℃, avoiding cold leakage caused by brittle cracking of traditional aluminum foil glue. Combined with the thermal insulation effect of the aluminum-plated layer, it can reduce cold storage energy consumption by 12%~18% and extend the service life of refrigeration equipment. In central air-conditioning duct systems of commercial buildings (such as shopping malls and hotels), fire compliance and low maintenance are core needs—the low-smoke and halogen-free characteristics of the product meet the safety standards of crowded places, and the long-term adhesion of the black adhesive layer (service life ≥8 years) can reduce duct inspection frequency and lower property maintenance costs.

In addition to solving core pain points, flame-retardant black adhesive aluminum foil also provides additional value for duct system construction and long-term use. During construction, it has good flexibility (bendable radius ≤10cm) and is easy to cut, adapting to the wrapping needs of special-shaped ducts (such as circular and oval ducts). The pressure-sensitive property of the black adhesive layer enables "immediate bonding and fixing," increasing construction efficiency by 30%~40% compared with traditional aluminum foil tape and reducing labor costs. In long-term use, the HDPE protective layer on the product surface can resist oil and moisture erosion, preventing aluminum foil oxidation and rusting, especially suitable for ducts in corrosion-prone environments such as underground garages and humid workshops. This extends the overall service life of the duct system to more than 10 years, far exceeding the average service life of 5~6 years of traditional materials.

With the stricter fire safety standards and increasing energy-saving demands, the application of flame-retardant black adhesive aluminum foil in duct systems will be further popularized. In the future, by optimizing the black adhesive flame-retardant formula (such as introducing environmentally friendly flame retardants), improving the reflectivity of the aluminum-plated layer (targeting over 90%), and developing thinner products (reducing material weight and cost), it will be more suitable for segmented scenarios such as micro ducts and clean ducts, providing stronger material support for the safety and energy-saving upgrading of duct systems.
